    We tested the same product across Amazon Europe. Here's what happened.

    Azzaro The Most Wanted Intense, 50 ml, ordered from each Amazon store to a Luxembourg address, right up to the final checkout page.

    1. −25%cheaper on Amazon.de than Amazon.fr

      Perfume can differ a lot

      The same 50 ml men's fragrance was about 25% cheaper on Amazon.de than on Amazon.fr, delivered to Luxembourg.

    2. Prices can change at checkout

      In our test, Amazon.fr, .it and .es got cheaper once we entered a Luxembourg address: they first show their own VAT (20–22%), then charged Luxembourg's 17%.

    3. Amazon.co.uk costs more than it looks

      Import charges and a currency fee added about €5 on top of the price and delivery.

    4. Not every store delivers here

      Amazon.nl wouldn't ship our test product to Luxembourg, and Amazon.com.be showed it out of stock for us.

    5. Compare totals, not prices

      Delivery to Luxembourg for the same item ranged from free to about €7, depending on the store.
